Arizona Trail Guidebook Release Party!
Phoenix Metro

The ATA will be hosting two events- be among the first to get a fresh copy of the new guidebook, "Your Complete Guide to the Arizona National Scenic Trail"!

Stop by REI-Tempe (1405 W. Southern Ave. Tempe, AZ 85282) on December 22 between 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Talk with some of the book’s authors and photographers, and get your book signed.

Complimentary copies of the book are available to any members of the ATA who have joined or renewed at the $100 and above membership levels within the past seven months. Contributing writers and photographers also receive a complimentary copy. Books will be for sale for $25.95 plus tax.

(I'm just posting Sirena's notice as an actual event that ends up on the calendar. I will not be in attendance.)

The Tucson event yesterday was a huge success and I look forward to seeing folks at the Tempe event! So exciting to finally have a new guidebook.

Picked mine up today, it was really nice to meet Matt and other members from AZ Trail Association. I have to say, I am blow away with the quality of this book. I'm comparing some of it to recent hikes that I've done and in the info is spot on. Kudos! All the hard work paid off beautifully! :thanx:

We just got home from REI and the booth where Matt and Sirena are selling books and greeting everyone. It is heartening to see all the interest in the book and the AZT! And the book looks GREAT! Even if you knew nothing of the Trail, this book would get you excited about it.

@Dave1 How could that be? We were there until 6:30 and had plenty of books left. So sorry you didn't get one!

It was so wonderful to meet all the folks this weekend who are excited about the AZT! I talked to so many people who are in the process of hiking, biking, and riding the trail, people who completed it long ago and are pleased to see how far it's come, and people who are dreaming of the day they can start.

Special thanks to all the HAZers who came out! It was great to meet in person people who I've chatted with on HAZ for years.

Great stuff happening with the AZT, just wait until you hear what we've got in store for 2014!!

I asked an employee if they had any left, he said they only got about 30 and sold them all earlier in the day. He said store employees bought most of them.

@Dave1 Such a bummer and completely untrue! We had plenty of books and were there until 6:30. PM sent.
