Hi,
I'm in green valley,AZ this week visiting my grandparents and looking for a hiking buddy to go on a moderately difficult-difficult day hike in Madera canyon area in the Coronado NF.
You can post an event in the forum and it might get some interest. A number of nice trails leave from there, so you shouldn't have any problems doing something.

Any info is appreciated!
Thanks

Get there early. The parking lot fills up. You can do any hike there solo, and feel comfortable that someone will be along in less than 5 minutes to help you if you twist your ankle, etc., unless you are off trail.

I am a big Madera fan!! My grandparents likewise live in Madera so whenever I go down, I spend my time in the Canyon. Actually...might be heading down this weekend for a very quick trip but might try to catch a trail or two.

If you've never done this hike, http://hikearizona.com/decoder=2342, then you should at least put it on your "bucket list". IMnot-soHO, EH is one of the most fun (not "funnest") hikes in southern Arizona.
