There are several other cars in the canyon having driven off the road here in the past.
If you do a street view, you might recognize it better. Might be time for a guardrail...

The helicopter and news agency were quick to point out the several cars still at bottom of cliff...no guard rail! guard rails=more people, with higher senses of false security...that road is busy enough...I would advocate taking another three feet of the edges of road, and removing preexisting guard rails..
