The Current National Parks Magazine

Post by Jim »

Does anyone else here get National Parks Magazine? If so, did you notice the image of Lake Powell on page 8-9? It's a nice image, but they took it on a clear winter day. Did you notice the coal smoke lingering in the left side of the image in front of Navajo Mountain, but not over Bryce(?) or what ever the cliffs are on the right side of the image, up into Utah.

BTW, are those the cliffs one can see from Page at the Safeway, or as you drive in from Shonto on SR 98? They are up in Utah, and I thought they might be near or be Bryce.

At one time they wanted to build five coal fired power plants around Lake Powel.
