It all seems pretty harmless except for the Sucralose. Interesting to note that the different flavors of Zipfizz sometimes have markedly different ingredients.

You got it. I work in pecans and can tell you that the organics today are as toxic as any others were 5 or so years back. Funny, that the growers association argued that that would be the case, and were labeled as propagandists.

I've fought way tougher hombres than sucralose and am still here to talk about it. Too many things to be afraid of these days.

Re: ZipFizz
So seriously if I may (as if), but what makes this different than the 5 Hour energy, Red Bull, Monster etc.etc. drinks?

It's a powder and the others are liquids. Sorry, I couldn't help it. Seriously, comparing the label of a Zipfizz and a 5 Hour it looks like Mister Zippy has a LOT more trace minerals and electrolytes and potassium and the like. The other key difference is that 5 Hour has much more B6 and caffeine. Zipp has more B12. I'm leaving Red Bull out of my answer because I'm not up to Googling their label but I'm guessing lots of caffeine.

I can't really tell you why it's a better choice, but I can tell you that I read an article written by a nutritionist (also an avid backpacker) who mentioned it as one of the better sources of electrolytes and the B12 boost (in the context of backpacking nutrition), and I just decided to try it. It has replaced coffee for me over this summer (until last week anyway) and serves me about as well, but with the added benefits already noted. I don't get an irritated stomach like I get from energy drinks, and have yet to have either a rush or crash from it. Will it cause me to grow a thumb in the middle of my forehead? Could be, but if it doesn't, something out there will. So I just don't sweat it as long as it keeps me truckin.

(unrelated: what does England have to do with anything "euro"?)

Re: Your Video ... Were you the one in the blue sweater or the green? Though we've never met, I'm deeply concerned for you Steve. There are plenty of avenues for help and hopefully you will find one that works. The tune was very catchy and I thank you for replacing the one currently stuck in my head, which was the Musak arrangement of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" for piano and flute. P.S. Nice dance moves, especially the digging with the shovel action.

That wasn't me, I was just off-stage....I'll be curious if the word "zipfizz" (which I'd never heard of before ) brings these guys to mind to everyone on this thread (as unfortunately it does for me!).

MY GOD! It's like the Partridge Family had a one-nighter with the Bay City Rollers and now we all have to pay for it.

Re: ZipFizz
Not sure why they even bothered with the Xylitol since they already have Citric Acid and Sucralose in there...
