The Arizona Trail Would End at Trump's Border Wall Under a New CBP Plan
https://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news/ar ... n-11469652
"The association's alternative proposals for CBP are simple: 1. Don't put a wall on that 2-mile stretch, but use less intrusive detection means. 2. Build just the wall and restore the landscape around it — so, no road, lights, or other visible infrastructure besides the wall. Or 3. Put $40 million in the Arizona State Trail Fund, to be administered by Arizona State Parks for use on Arizona Trail projects."

@ShatteredArm
Nice word-salad, but I'm not vegan. My point is that this is just another example of cloaking one's true complaint in the guise of some environmental catastrophe. That card has been played to death and no one actually believes that environmental impact has anything to do with the contesting of the wall construction.

@Mountain_Rat
That you don't believe people are being sincere about concern over environmental impact is only evidence of your own cynicism. And dismissing my point that tradeoffs are an actual thing as mere "word salad" is not a valid rebuttal. I can assure you that my primary concern over the border wall really is, in fact, the environmental impact. Whether you can show enough respect to your fellow citizens to believe that is up to you.

You're opinion commands my respect, while my opinion is simply disrespectful? Where in this equation is your obligation of respect to your fellow citizens?ShatteredArm wrote:show enough respect to your fellow citizens to believe

Guess we're just moving on to insults now...Mountain_Rat wrote:an abundance of experience with elitists.

I'm not the one who dismissed an entire argument as "word salad", questioned someone's sincerity, and proceeded to insult them.You're opinion commands my respect, while my opinion is simply disrespectful? Where in this equation is your obligation of respect to your fellow citizens?
I'll just leave it at that. Bye.
