rodney, the king of AZWilderness! :worthy: long time no see
No man should go through life without once experiencing healthy, even bored solitude in the wilderness, finding himself depending solely on himself and thereby learning his true and hidden strength

All the little rivers would explain where all the rain goes! It rained more in the first 3 days I was here than it did the whole 3 years I was in AZ! But, since I spend between 12 to 14 hours a day in front of this computer, I don't do many outdoor activities.
I knew Rodney was back because he & I have been battling it out on Pixel Trivia II. He came from out of nowhere and was starting to make me nervous ;) He still has a great memory for AZ and HAZ. Your voice of reason is appreciated here.

Why are you in front of the computer so much?
Anybody can make a hike harder. The real skill comes in making the hike easier.

Actually, my website search skills are a bit better than my memory! If you've noticed, most of the trivia I get right are the ones that already have the clues with letters filled in! (Oh yeah...thanks for the hint.)
I have a small website development business...I could use about four employees, but there's only me. Hence, very very long hours!
I have been hiking around mostly South Mountain last few months. Love this site. Found many trails I would have never found out about like Gudalupe Ridge, Corona De Loma now these are my favorite hikes at South Mountain.
I am looking to expand my hiking to other mountains too.
I have a question when posting triplogs how do you get the object for comments to appear on triplog page. I have posted several triplogs and cannot get the comment box to appear.

Those are great local trails, I hiked them extensively when I lived nearby.

It's there, you can't see it on your own material until another member comments first. Otherwise we found people were having conversations with themselves.
My name is Phil, i'm 25 years old and have been a Seattle area native for all 25 years, but will be moving down to Tucson in 2 weeks. (another transplant) I'm a college student and I work at $bux to support that. I enjoy the hiking i've done in the desert very much from frequent visits down there and can't wait to become familiar with my surroundings. I hope to make some friends on here to hike with and learn from.
Ah ha, a new victim! You will meet some great folks on here, and there are some really cool hikes they organize, plus, once you go on a couple of those, there probably will be some less organized ones you'll hear about.

Hey, thanks for the welcome! From lurking a bit, I can see this place is a wealth of knowledge, and you seem to be as well Look forward to getting down there. Only 10 more days! It's my first big move
Hi Gang, Paul here. I'm in my low 50's and I'm a true AZ Native - Both my parents were born and raised in Flagstaff, as was I. I've hiked all my life, but when I moved to the lower half of AZ (the friggin HOT half!!), I found my self working way too much and the hiking got put on the back burner. New girlfriend changed that (yeah!) and now we're back to exploring all the cool places AZ has to offer.
Love this site! Already been to a couple of places that I never knew existed - Barnhardt was one of them.

Hang out with us here on the forum or hike with us on the trail--it's all good. Post your hikes and photos and you may be surprised at the responses, sometimes! If you need help figuring all that out, just holler, someone will help you.

Hi
I'm Coz and I'm a transplant from Australia. My husband and I have lived here in Flagstaff for 3 years and love it. We are both experienced hikers/backpackers and are always looking for new fun places to explore.
I stumbled onto this place this morning and have found a new hike to take the dogs on this afternoon. Awesome ;)
