We were backpacking (in the Mazzies :lol: ) along Red Hills just past the divide when a huge branch crashed down off a Ponderosa. The usual quote was used... :roll: It was quite something and :scared:

Chad and I were literally running out of a Campsite where we were taking a break at Bonita Creek. The Wind was blowing so hard that Branches from the Cottonwoods and Sycamores started coming down around us...We got out of Dodge in a hurry... :sweat:
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"

Just saw a story on the news of a woman killed by a fallen branch at their camp down in Havasupi. Mother of 2 young boys. Really sad
