Possible Pooch Ban on Cholla Trail

For or against, here is your opportunity to get involved. While it is speaking of just one trail sometimes these type of things cascade.

Information about this proposed ban will be posted at trailheads. Parks and Rec officials also will hold a public hearing on Oct. 22.

A vote on the issue could happen in mid-November.

When there are no rangers on Squaw it's not uncommon to see multiple dogs over a course of several laps, in season. When it's hot I'd guess around once a week. Comes in waves, I've seen two in the past three days. Less common late afternoon/evenings.

Half sort of don't care, the other half really don't care. I can't remember seeing any on the summit. It's pretty rare to see them past the half. Some of the regulars are just raring to vent pent up anger so it kind of balances out.

that's a bummer... I hate when crappy dog owners make the rest of us look bad. Saw some women take their dog down to Romero Pools last month-- not cool, folks.
