Best Superstitions 2 Day Backpack Trip Ideas/suggestions

Post by Stavman »

So getting my old rear back into Hiking... Been about 8yrs since my last Hike and that was in Oregon on Mt Hood

So looking to do my 1st stint, a solo hike, in the Superstitions this Winter

Thinking Like 15-20+ miles... maybe 2 nights... so even some Side trips to see sites and such
Im tall and thin...well... a bit of a beer belly...LOL.. So not too concerned on elevation Gaines/Drops But not looking for Mt Goat Hikes either :) ... oh and Just turned 51.. and have a silly idea of doing the Cali leg of the Pacific Coast Trail.. so starting here 1st... 2nd Mid Life Crisis :y:

Have the Super & Four Peaks Topo Map... and have been searching this site. But would love some 1st hand Ideas on a great starting Hike

Ive started walking and may do my 1st walk with my Pack Today... Love the AZ weather this Time of Year.

Also... is water much of an Issue.. dosent seem like it but just checking.

Thanks for the help all... Appreciate the advice

Just be sure now that your well hydrated for Monday morning. Begin that process tomorrow morning. Your body will appreciate it later when you start giving it that big workout.

Post > Post triplog ( Post is at the top of all pages )

Since you hiked multiple trails you want to use a GENERIC name. Then link applicable trails. For trips spanning multiple days you enter the first day as the date. Then you would select Backpacking as the mode and enter the number of days. It won't let you enter in the days field unless a mode such as backpacking that involves more than one day is selected.

It will be 1 triplog for the entire trip. It looks like you used Route Scout so you will have multiple routes to post if you desire to post 'em ( others are likely interested to see how it panned out ). I'm guessing you inadvertently hit post in Route Scout for the first day since you don't know how it posted. You could post the other days too.

These are beginning hurdles that come to mind. If you have more question you can message me or just ask here as I'm sure there are viewers with the same questions.
