WoW! Now, at 6 to 7 days out a lot can change, but wouldn't that be nice for us? It would drive my non-existant GPS crazy, for sure.

I’m starting to think it might rain this week.

I'm hanging out in Flagstaff, looking up at that snow-free peak, thinking it might be worth tiring myself to look out from the top. I don't mind if it rains on Thursday or Friday.

Go for it! There is always today, pre-storm, too. Yesterday was very nice for me. Besides, this thread is off topic from women's volleyball, so you won't miss anything here.

I'm sitting here, watching a stable barometer for entertainment, while waiting for some rain to hike in. NWS promised me rain this a.m. Why can't the government seem to deliver on anything?

How does that rank with watching grass grow or watching paint dry?

Was there flooding after the Mount Elden fire? I noticed a lot of houses and businesses were sandbagged in that area.

Things aren't done yet, but the water level in my pool is way up. Just to keep this on topic, I do have a volleyball net for it along with a wife and daughter.

I bailed out of Flagstaff because the forecast kept getting worse. Rio de Flag was actually running, which I've never seen at this time of year.

The trip back to Phoenix was hairy. People drive way too aggressive in slippery conditions. I guess that's why there were cars through the guardrails in both directions. One of them looked like they might have just put out the fire and hadn't opened the doors yet.

The official county rain gauge across the street from my subdivision has this storm at 1.77" of rain over the past three days. But a warm storm here, just walked my dogs and the clouds broke for a few minutes. Looked up to the Catalina's and I'm going to guess the snow line is over 7000 feet. Only a dusting and I can see where the ski area is from my house and there are still patches of green up top.

@SpiderLegs Very impressive storm rainfall totals on Mount Lemmon, but the webcam on Radio Ridge has little snow in it.

Snowbowl reports 4 inches in 24 hours, and the Snotel in Snowslide canyon appears to report 12 inches. Not sure, but I would think 12 inches is not out of the questions on west facing slopes around and just below treeline. Still don't see how this makes for great skiing, but it is still a week from Thanksgiving, as well.

At least there has been a widespread and impressive precipitation event for the state.

Snowbowl now reports 15 inches in 24 hours and a 24 inch (including artificial snow) base.

Driving through it, I was impressed by the scale of the storm. Ditto for today in Phoenix. It's been a while since I've seen so much rain over such a wide area. And it gave me an excuse to wear all my ridiculous options of extra outwear.

Even considering the poor monsoon this year, I'm now within 7/10" of my yearly rain. December usually yields slightly over 1" down here as well. I think it's going to be a decent year despite the local news channels screaming drought.

@Mountain_Rat
As of right now, my total for November is 1.36 and for the year 11.62 inches, so not far from long term averages.

I'm at 1.61 for the month, 11.31 for the year, and it just started raining again. I can't type fast enough to keep up.
