Trout Evacuation Tonto Hatchery

Post by ALMAL »

Trout Evacuation: If you missed the story on Fox 10 here it is. Very interesting!

That is an incredible amount of trout put into Willow Springs and Woods Canyon. Those should be hot spots for trout fishing for some time.

I wonder if Game&Fish will increase the bag at Willow or Woods -was catching small ones last week.

I would be surprised if the daily limit is raised from 6. What is your definition of "small ones"?
You should also try Tonto creek. Way upstream, in the first mile below the hatchery. Further downstream near the camp grounds muddies up with swimmers this time of year.
