I’m curious if anyone has done a fall through hike?
When is an advisable time to start, what are weather and terrain considerations, what resources have been most helpful to plan etc. Greatful for advice, feedback and resource recommendations. Thanks!

Fall is a great time to do the trail - generally the fall hikers go SOBO and mid-October is the big push. You are at the RIGHT place! Search the threads and you will find all kinds of info to help you plan. Also, if you're on social media, there is a Class of 2018 FB page. Additionally, go to the ATA web site and check out all of the resources - water reports, section maps and descriptions, etc..
