Missing Snowshoes on Mt Ord [Found]

My snowshoes went missing yesterday afternoon ( February 24 ) during my trek up Mt Ord via 626 main road.

I thought I hide them pretty well under the snow just b/4 the pavement ends nearly a half mile from the locked gate but when I returned they were nowhere to be found but there were signs of nearby visitors.

They are Orange MSR Lightning Ascent snowshoes.

@hiking_arizona That sucks. The pass area was a complete pooeyshow of the worst of humanity when I drove by late yesterday afternoon. Except that few would put in the half mile of effort, it wouldn’t otherwise surprise me if somebody decided to claim them as their own. Hopefully I’m wrong. Good luck.

thank you... passed 75+ cars on the side of the road north bound between 4-Peaks Rd and Mt Ord with people everywhere taking pictures as well as tons of snowplay on or near the highway.

snowshoes have been recovered and appear to be in very good condition!

a couple out sightseeing were walking the still closed/gated road saw my lost sign and located just 1 shoe in the ditch.

I went back and was able to locate the other snowshoe not too far off also in the ditch.

How do we delete this or update it as snowshoes have been found.
