Forest Closures

Post by Daryl »

I haven't been paying to much attention to the news lately. Are there any Forest closures yet?

I'm assuming camp fire restrictions are already in place in most if not all of the forests.

Pray for rain...

To answer my own question...

Coconino Forest has no closures and no restrictions.

Tonto has fire & smoking restrictions south of the rim and areas around Pine & Strawberry are closed. Tonto Natural Bridge is open (and a must do short hike if you are in the area).

I was up at Fossil Springs yesterday and the top trailhead was closed. We were able to hike the lower Flume trail and it was beautiful. Monsoon season can't get here quick enough!
Keep on truckin'
