Water on southern portion of black canyon trail?

Post by xsproutx »

I’m looking to do the Black canyon trail as a hike in the next week or two before the temp gets too hot and I think I have water mostly figured out. One question: there’s a water source marked near the south end, where the agua fria flows into lake pleasant; “two miles north of table Mesa” or something like that. Anyone have any idea if that is something that will be reliably flowing above ground that would be a good water source? Does the agua fria run above ground for the entire BCT for that matter? I’ve seen the USGS report on it but not sure where the monitoring equipment for that is so it’s hard to tell how useful it is

I know this is four years late, but I've always found water there. It may not be flowing above ground, but there is usually a large pool of water.
