Someone to Section Hike the AZT With

To simplify logistics, I am looking for someone to section hike the AZT with. Put one of our vehicles at the end of section, drive to start, hike, pick the start vehicle and setup for the next section or go home. Repeat until done. I have a full time job, so it will be more of a weekend warrior adventure but I also have plenty of time off available.

With the help of my wife I have completed 6 sections / 110 miles of the trail, but she is not in the best of health and this is on the upper limit of what she is physically able to do.

I am based in Phoenix and I hope to see ya on the trail!

Cool! I just completed a section hike with another member - Mountain_Rat. We hiked section 5 and a bit of 6 15.5 miles at an average of 2.9 mph. I need to post the pics. We probably will be hiking again weekend after next (28th). We haven't decided what we are going to do yet, but you are welcome to join us. PM me if you are interested.

Me and Mountain_Rat are planning on doing 2 and 3 the weekend of the 11th. My truck only seats two. Last weekend we had a great time hiking over 34 miles at an average of 2.8 mph including our breaks.

@miscbs That’s great but that is faster than I hike and I take more breaks with Rowdy.
So I just need to find someone that could just pick us up and drop us off. And we could hike back to my car at our speed.

LOL. We were that fast because that was some easy, flat trail. I assure you that these two old guys will slow down considerable when facing some serious incline.
