@mazatzal
I had the privilege of interacting with her over a several year period in the 80's. She was an honorary member of a country club where I served as the Asst. Golf Professional. She radiated grace and charm at all times and was a pretty decent golfer to boot!

A well-known Historian who publishes daily and whom I follow sums it up best:
"the first woman appointed to the Supreme Court, died today. Named to the court by President Ronald Reagan to honor a campaign promise, O’Connor was known as a pragmatist who paid attention to the real-world consequences of the court’s decisions and who was willing to rethink her positions."

n 1975, Sandra Day O'Connor was a Superior Court Judge. My mother, who knew her from the Republican committee, asked her to perform my wedding ceremony. It was the first and only time she did a wedding.
