What is Your Spirit Animal According to the Native American Zodiac

Astrology has always been an integral part of Native American culture. However, unlike the conventional western or eastern zodiac, the signs in Native American astrology are symbolized by spirit animals or birth totems. It is rooted in the belief that we are all connected as the Lakota saying goes, “Mitakuye Okasin” or “All are Related.”

According to this, I am a bear. I do not want to see the @The_Eagle post of two 'bears' riding bikes.

Well after being choked to death by ads, my security blocked it so I never made it to my "Spirit" animal. But since the article from what I saw stereotyped all Natives as being all one I'm sure that if I did get to mine it would have it would have been some uber cool creature. But if I were to poll my Native friends from various tribes it would be something akin to Stupid F****** Stink Weasel, or something to that effect.

I'm confused by the premise. Which indigenous group does this particular collection belong to? I doubt that belief will span the whole continent.

Anyhow, mine is a salmon, appropriate for a life spent swimming upstream.
