I’m looking to see what the availability is for denatured alcohol or HEET compared to butane canisters at resupply towns on the AZT.
Any suggestions on which fuel is more readily available to avoid any surprises would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Alcohol Stove fuel availability
@DDB
Both available in Payson. HEET sometimes available in Pine, butane cannisters rarely. Evaluate your needs for fuels and expected low tempetures.

Re: Alcohol Stove fuel availability
HEET is more naturally available as a common gas station item. Note, fire burns can come at random times and will probably come earlier this year than normal and those type of stoves wouldn't be allowed during that period.
