Havasupi Falls

Post by Diggity »

I need some advice on Havasupi Falls, what is the latest in the year that you would attempt this due to heat concerns?

I'd avoid doing this in June, July and August. Remember you're starting at a little over 5000 feet but descending 2500 ft and it's going to be hotter than blazes at the bottom of that canyon.

Best times to hike this are probably March/April/May and Sept/Oct/Nov.

Hope this helps!

that's kind of what I figured, I used to live in Arizona so I remember how crippling the heat can be, first campsite date available was for July, I'll check again for the later months that you suggested.

Thanks for the info
