We're expecting our first child on Jan 21 and I would really like to do a rim to rim to rim with someone (as opposed to doing a solo trip). If you have what it takes to do the hike, contact me and we'll plan it for some time between now and Jan 21. My days are totally open until then. I can drive. I am fit enough to make the trip. Probably would be 10 hours each way. I really want to do this trip. . . . come on, let's give it the old college try.

I would definitely want to camp at the North Rim and do the return hike the following day.

Re: Grand Canyon anyone?
I would rather brave the cold than carry a winter pack across both ways. Actually if you dropped your pack at Cottonwood it wouldn't be all that bad. That would make for 28 miles on day 1 and only 14 (Kaibab) or 17 (B.A) on day 2.
I would actually be willing to give that a shot, but all my weekends are booked until February.
