A request to GPS a trail

Post by Jim »

I have a request. Can someone who owns a GPS and is interested in hiking the Mount Elden trail in Flagstaff do so with their GPS and post the route on our site. I know it won't be perfectly accurate, but it can be precise if nothing else. You see, the forest service has a sign at the top of the trail and one at the bottom, one says 3 miles and the other says 2.5. It would be nice to know what is closer to the actual trail length. It would be nice to have the elevation, too.

The route in question begins at the parking lot on HWY 89 across from the La-Z-Boy show room, follows the western half of the Fatman's Loop, and then heads up the mountain to the lookout tower.

If anyone can do this, it would be greatly appreciated.
