Verde River access off FR131
Does anyone know of a trail down the canyon to the Verde River from FR 131, just outside of Clarkdale. The river is not accessible for about 6 miles (signs) and then the canyon walls start. I do not have rappelling experience. Can it be accessed through the bottom of the Packard property where Sycamore Canyon meets the Verde? I would love to explore this area.

Re: Verde River access off FR131
I just found this spot while out exploring today. I have been looking for the same thing for a while. I have attached a map showing the location. If you park at the "P" it is an easy scramble down the wash to the river.
UPDATE: This location is not within the Bald Eagle Closure Area.

Re: Verde River access off FR131
I found an even better spot to access the river today.
Attached is another map showing roughly the same area as the previous one. I have updated it with the correct road numbers and the new access location.
Just park at the end of Road 9515 and take a leisurely walk down to the river.
