Cicada's

While in East Mesa today I heard cicada's (an insect often mistaken for a locust) singing, usually to me anyway means the arrival of the monsoon season though the bug folks say this is a mating call. For additional information, Insects of the Southwest by Floyd Werner and Carl Olson.
