Im new and need some help.

Post by Out for some air »

Hey everyone. I need a little advise. I want to do my first backpacking trip. 2 days 1 night. Im looking for some suggestions. Something with creeks and maybe some old mines with the equipment still in tact. Any suggestions would be awsome. Thanks everyone

I think everyone's going to instruct you on how to use our very handy-dandy "Traildex" feature here on the site. A GREAT way to find this kind of hike.

Down here in Tucson there are some really fun hikes around old mining areas - the San Pedro River through the San Pedro National Riparian Conservation Area (I think I called it right) is rife with old stamp mill remains, mining equipment and even the remains of a Spanish fort. A little warm this time of year, but in the fall, when the cottonwoods are changing, it's a real winner!
