I need a new gps

Im looking to start backpacking trip and long hikes. I need a good reliable gps for not a heap of money. Any suggestions?

There's a bunch of topics on GPS choices in the forum. Use the search box above. Narrow it down by mentioning specific brands like Garmin or Magellan.

If you wanna go cheap, check into the magellen triton 300. I know a place here in the valley that has them new in box for 49bucks. Alot of people knock em, but ive never had any problems with the vantage point software or natgeo topo. Battery life stinks, only about 8-10 hrs. Just a thought. ;)
