Due to a late cancellation we have one space available to hike the Zion Narrows from the top down on 9/18 & 9/19. The carpool leaves the Valley @ 6AM on 9/17, camping in Zion NP that evening and starting the hike @ 8AM 9/18. Upon completing the hike the afternoon of 9/19 we will overnight near the Paria River, returning to the Valley about 6-8PM on the 20th.

If you'd like to join us let me know by this Sunday, 9/13 as I'll be unavailable 9/14-9/17. There are fees associated with this... permits, shuttle, camping, carpool and meals.
Unfortunately, although hiking is good for you and will promote good health, none of this seems to be covered by any of Obama's give-aways, so, sadly, I guess that you'll need to use your own $$. ;)

do you need to rent a dry suit this time of year? i have that friday off and could sneak away for this type of trip.

You'll note that we are leaving THURSDAY @ 6AM.
No dry suit needed - some use neoprene booties inside their boots, although I do not prefer them.
