Last minute deal, but I decided to hit the road early on Monday and get to the Navajo National Monument VC early in order to get a slot on the daily Betatakin hike. 5 miles, 1000' cliff. Anyone want to come along?

That'd be awesome if you could. Temps look like 86 for a high, 58 for a low. 10% chance of showers. Not camping, since I'm only an hour away. I could cruise into camp to meet up though, if you'd be planning to camp.

The real name for this place is called; Talastima (Hopi name for a Hopi place), and the other place is called Kawestima (Keet Seel), another Hopi place.

All true, but it is a Park Service trail that I'll be hiking, and that is called Betatakin. Rob you had the same tour guide as I did when I went with Az hikers group. She was very informative. But I did not remember everything she said so thanks for the write up!
