AZT-Picketpost Mt to Reavis Canyon TH Sat. Nov. 20
My in-laws will be in town, so I'll get to do a rare Saturday hike. I would like to get someone to make this a one way 10-mile shuttle hike, but if I don't, I'll just start at the Picketpost Mt. TH and hike uphile about 6 miles or so. The road up to the Reavis Canyon TH definitely 4WD, so if anyone is thinking about providing a 2nd car, keep that in mind. Leaving my house in Mesa at 5:30am.

Stiller on a Saturday?! Count me in. I don't have 4WD so lets hope for someone else to sign up. Also, here might be a better link to the hike with a route of what we're doing...

I re-ran the elevation on Al_hikesAZ's route as a one-way and it looks like a shuttle hike is gonna leave us with an AEG of only 1,057. If anyone is interested in doing the Picketpost summit afterwards-- I would be keen on that. An hour drive for a four mile hike seems a little silly to me so I wouldn't mind knocking that out while I'm there.

You can easily add an extra mile or more to that hike on the top to check out all the NSEW views, not to mention the extra time you might want to take. I did that hike as an only destination 4 years ago
, and it was pretty much a full day. You can also take the AZT to the south from there and get some nice views of the mountain if the summit isn't enough for you.

Found out today that my wife is organizing a piano recital that my daughter is involved with at 4:30pm that day, so I need to be done by 2pm at the latest. Shouldn't be a big deal, but FYI. Looks like not having the shuttle for this one will be the best.

Cool. I'll probably meet you at the TH and do Picketpost Summit after.
