Peralta TH access closed Sunday morning ( 2013-02-17 )

Just a quick adviso; the road between US 60 and the Peralta TH will be closed Sunday morning due to the Lost Dutchman Marathon, from sometime before the start (7:00 AM) until the last of us makes it to the highway.

They close it about 5am.... the first bus leaves to go there at 430 ....That includes one lane of US 60 too for a few miles....

Yes, I'm doing the marathon, my first year. Sounds like you've done this before.

Yes, I'm doing the marathon, my first year. Sounds like you've done this before.

This is my husbands 3 full marathon (Lost Dutchman that is) and he did 2 halfs before that... I have been doing the 8K trail walk the past two years and this year decided to do the 10K since I have 4hrs and 45 minutes or so before he gets to the finish line... He is the runner I like to walk. He did the full Marathon in San Antonio Rock and Roll this last Nov. and I decided to walk the half... the most I have done so far. Don't go too fast at the beginning you will blow out your quads it is easy to get caught up with the crowd.... (or so that is what he told me from previous years)... May be a bit wet out there this year...

Don't forget start about 4-5am this road will be closed to traffic to the Peralta trailhead until about noonish....

The Lost Dutchman Marathon is on Sunday the 17th of February, 2013 ... The road will be close to the TH until about 7-8 am closing early morning before 4am. Part of US 60 will be down to one lane too for the marathon..

Another year and just to let everyone know that Sunday Feb 16th they will close down the road to the Peralta TH for the lost Dutchman Marathon.
Starting around 330am till about 8 or 9 am... Lost Dutchman Boulevard will be closed at 7:00 AM through the duration of the event from Idaho East.. crossing Apache Trail or Hwy 88... That crossing the traffic will be stopped for the runners and then will when the coast clear let you through using traffic cops... so can be a big back up waiting in line... after about noon will be easier to find more breaks in the runners...
