2-3 nighter by Hannigan?

Post by jdcollard »

Heading to Pinetop Thursday night and looking to do a 2 to 3 night trip to the South of there starting Friday.

Prefer a loop versus an out and back but we are flexible. Let me know what suggestions you may have!

Thanks!!! ;)

We stayed at Big Lake and did a number of dayhikes from there. Including the Mount Baldy Loop that te-wa references. And some trout fishing. You can look at hikes on Traildex and pick the ones that look good to you. Escudilla is always a fun hike. These are more car camping and dayhiking. The mount baldy loop trail is definitely a must! I would pay 1000$ bucks to go there every week! :M2C: My favorite spot in all of AZ is right along the Mount Baldy Loop trail.

Hmmmmm options, options. We usually dayhike the Baldy Loop. I can see how a backpack trip would be awesome there, but I think we may be looking for something different. KP/Hannagan loop looks interesting. How is the trail? Too much for a 3 nighter?
