Houston Mesa Trail Sunday July 31
This is part of the Payson Area Trail System (PATS) and is a lasso loop 10 miles long. There are also some other spurs from this loop, so I may try to stretch it out to 12 miles or so. Leaving Mesa at 5:30am.

Interested. I'll have to see if my wife is going down to her lab in Tucson that weekend or not.

I am new to hiking & this site, but would be interested in going. Currently I do South Mountain a couple times a week for a 5 mile hike that can take any where from 2 to 2.5 hours. Do you think I could keep up?

@damademuerta
That sounds like a decent speed. No one can keep up with Wally, though. I'm normally the slowest hiker of the group, anyway. I think this is mostly flat, also, which keeps it easy.
