Name that plant

Post by Nighthiker »

While hiking alongside Sycamore Creek near Sunflower, I came across these two plants http://www.hikearizona.com/trails/dated ... camore.jpg near a stream gauge station. I have not been able to identify them, if any knows the names or a good reference source please advise.

I'm no botanist, but my guess would be the plants on the left are either Fragile/Brittle Fern or maybe Lady Fern. They could be Rocky Mountain Woodsia/Cliff Fern, or maybe not. The plants on the right would be Parry's Lip Fern if the stalks were brown or black. Those are my guesses. Anybody know a Botanist to see if I'm correct?
