Helicopter crash at Lake Mead NRA

Post by autumnstars »

Five were killed in a tour helicopter crash in the River Mountains at Lake Mead NRA on Wednesday.
The helicopter was on a "routine" tour to the Hoover Dam.
The resulting fire was so severe, they are planning to identify the victims via DNA matching with family members.

I have a friend who works for this company, who has filled me in on a few details of events leading up to the crash, and of the character of the pilot himself. I'm really hoping people will reserve their judgements over what may have happened until the complete NTSB report comes out. Certain media outlets are putting an unhealthy spin on this story; so far completely unfairly.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all those affected.
