Camp Verde area

Looks like I will visit the Middle Verde Valley this weekend and I am seeking some hike suggestions and points of interest in the area. I am planning on a night hike to some caves Southeast of Camp Verde though I am not planning on exploring the cave itself. I asked the ranger district about caves in the area and was advised the information was restricted.
