Long Weekend Coming Up
I have four and a half days off this week, and I don't want to waste it. I'm only working in the morning on Wednesday... would anyone be interested in hiking that afternoon somewhere in the Supes?? I'm thinking a 6 miler or so. Nothing real strenuous, just enough to get the blood going for the turkeyfest on Thursday!!
Then, I'm free the rest of the w/e... any ideas??

I've been looking for something to do Friday, was thinking of cicumnavigating Mazatzal Peak, I think its about 16 miles. Haven't firmed that plan up yet, but I'm open to it if anyone else is interested. Should be good for working off at least some of the potatoes and gravy.

I'm just going to leave that one alone!!arizonaheat wrote:I have so many ideas it makes my head hurt. I will eventually get to all of them though.
Kelly, I would love to hike w/ you on Wed. but I was thinking of doing a hike that you just did!! I've been interested in the Boulder Canyon trail for some time now, but I want to go a little further than you guys went. I want to go to the Indian Paint mines and the prospecting camps out there. Then I was entertaining the idea of returning via the canyon. It would be somewhere around 7.5 miles rt, hitting the trailhead no later than 2pm, earlier if possible.

I thought it was funny!! No offense taken on this end... Puhleese!! You should know my twisted sense of humor by now... I think I'm the one that should usually apologize, if not for my comments, then for my thoughts alone!!
Kelly, usual place is great... I'm hoping to be in the parking lot by 1pm, but I will let you know definitely on Wed.

Wow! Hardly a "name calling" man... just a momentary disdain for the way mysterio posts. Thanks for the smack on the wrist though.ck1 wrote:As a general rule, we refrain from name calling at HAZ, please save the garbage for other forum websites.sean82 wrote:Nighthiker wrote:Nighthiker is planning on wednesday mid morning hike in the area.

I'm not sure what happened here, but hey, this is the web! We can all be as mysterious as we want, right? No harm, no foul!sean82 wrote:Wow! weekend turkey burner hikes
Saturday from 1 to 3 I have like a realty (not reality :pois: ) open house (make me an offer), so I really would like to be as far away as possible, like in the mountains and stuff. Anyone up for a morning to early afternoon Supes hike? I pray for rain so i can see washes and canyons running, but i will hike in anything except snow.
BTW The Cave Trail was totally awesome.I would love to hike this again, except maybe this time I will use my brains and bring FILM for the camera, it seems to help!!! Somewhere after Geronimo's Cave, in a shady part of the fortress beginning, I came across three little cactus(???)
: about 15 inches tall, angled approx. SE, towards what little mid day sun they would get. I need to photograph them and find out, etc etc etc blah blah blah. Anyhow....Thanx go to Teva for the "alto neva instruciones" Feliz Diaz del Accion de Gracias!
(Happy Thanksgiving en Espanol)

Re: weekend turkey burner hikes
Brains are highly overrated. I had an idea once but it died of lonliness. C'est la vie. (OK I'm not French). These days, I don't have time for brains - I have too much on my mind.cygie wrote: maybe this time I will use my brains and bring FILM for the camera, it seems to help!!!
I just can't think of any of it.
