Hart Fire - Coconino NF (Mogollon Rim Ranger Dist)

Post by Grasshopper »

Communication received 6/4am from Mogollon Rim Ranger District email distribution-
..received an update about the fire, so I am forwarding to you what I know thus far. This is a human caused fire that started on Saturday, June 1st. It is located near the spillway at Blue Ridge Reservoir and is currently 40 – 50 acres. Crews have made significant progress since Saturday, especially considering the hazardous and ruff terrain they have been dealing with. Right now the fire is approximately 80% contained, today they have 2 Engines and 1 Crew on it. Fire fighters will monitor the East Clear Creek side of the fire. Due to the fact there are many hazard trees fire managers do not want to put fire crews in harms way..
Looks like this one.. http://hikearizona.com/photo.php?ZIP=342486 is still alive.
