@kingsnake
What a turd.
What a turd.
Understand, when you eat meat, that something did die. You have an obligation to value it - not just the sirloin but also all those wonderful tough little bits.

The saddest part, (other than this pathetic excuse for a human being), is that he'll have a 1000.00 fine that he won't pay and 1000 hours of community service that he won't do...There's just no teeth in any of these Wildlife Laws....

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"

It's a darned shame significant punishment is not given for people who treat nature like this.

It's really gonna suck the day Robert finds out that God is a hawk.

I always thought that if reincarnartion as animal were true, I would want to be reincarnated as hawk. Fly fast, dive bomb critters, and crap on people's heads ... you know, the good things in life.

I've always wanted to come back as a Cactus Wren. They have huevos, aren't afraid of much, small enough that most things aren't gonna waste their time to kill and eat, brave, smart and have attitude.

Re: Man shot dead dozens of protected hawks in 3-year spree
This was statewide front-page news in NJ today. From the description of his arraignment, he seems unintelligent and perhaps not fully grounded in normal reality. Unfortunately, it also sounds like they don't have ironclad proof. He puts out seed, he's been recorded sticking a gun out the door, he's been recorded looking with binoculars, and the deaths cluster around him. However, they didn't allege in the hearing that anyone witnessed or recorded him shooting anything. Either they have something that hasn't been announced, or they decided what they have now is enough to proceed and even without a conviction, the charges alone may be enough to deter further killings.
