Planning on doing the Grand Enchantment Trail Spring 2015. Was curious about potentials for an overnight in the Grand Canyon before heading to Phoenix. Any recs?

@surridge
Hi Surridge.
It's a difficult question to answer without knowing more about you and what you typically hike.
HAZ is a great resource though.
Start with this page: http://hikearizona.com/traildex.php?SHO ... PN=1&ID=34
Adjust the criteria to meet your preferences and the results will change.
After you find some options you might enjoy, you'll need to contact the Backcountry Office to obtain a permit. Spring can be a very difficult time to obtain a permit at the Grand Canyon so it will be good to have a couple of different options in mind.

I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.
