History Along the AZT

I find it difficult to separate hiking and history. Knowing a bit of the history that happened where I'm hiking enriches the entire experience so I always have an eye out for books, articles, websites, etc. One reference I found several years ago is a 1931 Arizona Historical Review volume. I found it researching a gruesome incident that happened where the AZT crosses the Honeymoon Trail on the AZ Strip. Rereading it this week I see it also includes information on an equally gruesome incident near Kelvin-Riverside. Check it out:
