Prohibitive camping fee!
Recently, the Saguaro National Park, east of Tucson, imposed a $6.00 per night camping fee. That's right, $6.00 per night, not per trip. For those of us who like to camp for several nights, on numerous trips per year, this would quickly become prohibitive. I have suggested that they offer a $20 per year fee (I'll gladly pay my fair share) as an option for those of us who frequent the park throughout the year. This would be similar to the existing fee structure in the Catalina Mountains north of Tucson. I would recommend any you avid hikers of the Rincons to contact the SNP and voice your opposition to this fee.

Re: Prohibitive camping fee!
What happened to the fair share that we all pay in taxes? This is the Green Suits moving in again, just like at the trailheads in the Superstitions ($4.00 per day for parking!!). They do it because they can! Grr!grit wrote:(I'll gladly pay my fair share)
