I'm just curious if it's possible to hike/scramble from the Soldier Pass area to Devil's Bridge? We were on Soldier Pass today, and the terrain doesn't look too bad on that side (we didn't have time to check it out). There are a couple of fairly low saddles where it looks like you could probably either contour from the north end of the Soldier Pass trail back to the saddles, or just bushwhack straight up the hill.
Anyone tried this? There aren't any routes attempting this on HAZ. But it seemed like it might be an interesting way to visit Devil's Bridge or incorporate the trails around Soldier pass into a bigger loop.

Looks very doable. This southern part of this gps track covers the west side https://hikearizona.com/gps=26272 and the terrain on the east side looks simple if you cross the pass here: 34.89477 -111.795257

Re: Soldier Pass to Devil's Bridge: doable?
You can do the loop staying on trails the whole time, there is also a road you could use for a shortcut. I did a loop similar to that and found about 3/4 of the trails that make up the loop to be enjoyable. It would not require the off-trail shortcut you mention.
