Paste: Brown to gray.
Temper: Sand with occasional fine mica. Design: Surfaces are slipped in red and highly polished. Vessels were polished with stone tools, and vertical or diagonal polishing marks were intentionally left on the vessels by the Hohokam potters. Comments: Tucson basin ware. Vessel forms include flared rim bowls and jars. |
