Corvus brachyrynchos

Habitat:Full-time resident of most of the U.S., also spending summers and breeding in most of the Canadian Provinces. Inhabits both deciduous areas near rivers and streams, but also resides in open coniferous forests.

Description:Large Black bird with fan-shaped tail and strong bill.

Comments:Extremely intelligent, social, omnivorous bird with opportunistic qualities. Extremely sensitive to West Nile Virus and will die within a week of infection. Highly reproductive and will gang up with other crows to "mob" birds of Prey.
