Adjacent to the ruins of the old Hance Cabin, water flows and pools in the bed of Hance Creek. It quickly disappears underground. While water can be found in the bottom of Hance Creek here, the source of the spring is likely at the base of the redwall just east of here, as indicated by vegetation growth in the perpendicular drainage.
