Pachycereus schottii

Wiki and Sonoran Fieldguide:
Branches mostly at ground level. The stems have fewer vertical ribs (usu. 7 to 9) leaving smooth green tissue exposed between them. They form large shrubs or small trees up to 15 m or more tall, with stout stems up to 1 m in diameter.
Pachycereus comes from the ancient Greek pakhus meaning "thick" and the Latin cereus meaning "torch"
The relatively large flowers are white-pinkish in color.
