Eubrontes is what paleontologists call an ichnogenus. An ichnogenus is a classification of fossil prints, since it is impossible to determine what organism made the track or print. This allows scientists to discuss and compare prints to one another.
Eubrontes is a large tridactyl (three toed) footprint found in Triassic and Jurassic aged rocks across North America. Its large size and robust appearance make it easy to identify. It is also one of the most common tracks from the Mesozoic in North America.
