Description: In many places in the southwest there isn't enough wood to be able to construct a wooden dwelling/shop/barn/etc. However there is one thing that is almost never in short supply; rocks. Many early structures were built, at least partially, of stone. Even wooden buildings had stone fireplaces, and many ranch houses and miner's shacks were built of stone. This category is appropriate not only for surviving stone buildings, but also for lone chimneys, if the remainder of the house (whether wood or something else) has been destroyed.
