Common Names:
Habitat: Shrubby fields, roadsides. Dandelions, plantains, low-growing weeds.
Description: 1 3/4". Foreewings rusty orange, with rows of small black spots; hindwings lighter. Body rusty orange. Nocturnal. Caterpillar very hairy; reddish brown and black. Often wanders onto roadways.
